Independent Producer Project Mentorship

Through this program, up to three Yukon producers will receive support for the mentorship services of a seasoned, out-of-territory mentor. Yukon producers are expected to have a late-stage project that they are bringing to the mentor for guidance in getting it to development and market.

Under this program SPYA will:

  • Provide up to 75% (to a maximum of $1,500) for producer mentorship services to a specific Yukon producer to strengthen a mid to late-stage project under development.
To ensure this cohort provides the deepest level of professional development, we are looking for filmmakers who meet the following criteria:

  • Experience Baseline: You have at least 2 years of active experience within your chosen filmmaking specialization accumulated over the last 5 years.
  • Mentor lined up: You have already contacted and confirmed a mentor who is willing to support you with your late-stage project. You have a copy of their resume to share here.
  • Commitment to Growth: You have a clear, actionable project milestone you want to achieve over the next 6 months.
  • Availability: You can commit to mentor meetings and regular program check-ins with SPYA.
  • Willingness to provide feedback: You are willing to complete a participant survey at the end of the program.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until the three positions have been filled.
