The Yukon’s flourishing screen production industry demonstrates the exceptional wealth of talent and expertise found in the territory. As the industry continues to evolve, Screen Production Yukon Association (SPYA) strives to identify and recognize success in this community of screen production professionals.
Last year, SPYA launched our inaugural Yukon Screen Media Industry Awards to celebrate Yukon’s broad talent of screen production professionals, from veterans who have made longstanding contributions to the local industry, to innovators moving it into the next generation.
Building on that success, SPYA is calling for nominations for the 2024 Yukon Screen Media Industry Awards. Please take an opportunity to consider your colleagues and nominate those who have made creative, technical or community-building achievements in Yukon’s screen production industry.
Nominations for two awards are now open:
BIG PICTURE AWARD – recognizes significant contributions or long-standing participation by a member of our industry. Perhaps they are an industry builder who has helped grow the Yukon industry we have today, or perhaps they have created a body of work or built a career that has shaped Yukon screen media opportunities for others.
VIEWFINDER AWARD – about the future of our industry. This award recognizes exceptional talent or innovative approaches that represent the growth and evolution of the Yukon screen media industry. Maybe they are a promising talent, or perhaps their work is raising the bar or creating new opportunities.
A jury of Yukon screen production industry professionals will be responsible for selecting the winners of the 2024 Yukon Screen Media Awards. Please provide relevant and detailed responses to this nomination form to help inform their decisions.
In order to submit a nomination, you must be a current member of SPYA. If you do not see yourself listed on our website and wish to nominate, please renew, register or contact [email protected] if you have questions surrounding membership status. Submissions are confidential and will be reviewed by an Awards Committee.
Deadline for nominations is Monday, October 28, 2024. The winners will be announced at the Yukon Screen Media Industry Gala scheduled for Saturday, November 16, 2024.
