Yukon Producers Make Strong Showing at Prime Time 2026

With the financial support of Yukon Media Development, Screen Production Yukon Association (SPYA) proudly supported a six-person Yukon delegation to Prime Time 2026 in Ottawa, Canada’s premier three-day conference for the film, television, and media production industry, hosted by the Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA).

Prime Time is the country’s leading market and networking event for producers, broadcasters, distributors, and decision-makers from across Canada and beyond. Through a competitive callout process, SPYA and Yukon Media Development (YMD) selected six Yukon producers to attend as part of the official Yukon delegation.

Ten applications were received for the Prime Time Delegation initiative. Six participants were selected by a four-person jury that included representatives from SPYA, YMD, and mentor Lauren Grant of Clique Pictures Inc. (Toronto). Applicants were assessed on their readiness to fully leverage the market opportunity, demonstrated through the strength and viability of the project slates submitted with their applications.

The 2026 Yukon delegation included:

  • Andrea Wing, Well Travelled Collective
  • Barbara Dunlop, Pebble Street Films
  • Brianne Bremer, GBP Creative Media Inc
  • Jessica Hall, Fireweed Films Inc
  • Kelly Milner, Shot in the Dark Productions
  • Naomi Mark, Midnight Light Media

Participants described Prime Time 2026 as an exceptionally productive and inspiring experience. With mentorship support in advance of the conference, delegates refined their materials and pitches, strategically identified key meetings, and approached the market with clarity and purpose.

The Yukon contingent emphasized the value of attending as a group, noting that shared intelligence, introductions, and on-the-ground support significantly enhanced the experience. Together with YMD, Yukon producers were represented across panels, networking events, and key industry conversations throughout the conference.

Delegates highlighted the unparalleled access to decision-makers, exposure to national and international industry trends, and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships that may lead to tangible partnerships and productions. For many, this level of industry engagement is not otherwise accessible without attending major markets outside the territory.

SPYA extends sincere thanks to Yukon Media Development for its continued support of market access initiatives. Without YMD’s investment, these vital relationship-building and industry development opportunities would not be possible.

As a result of Prime Time 2026, Yukon producers return home with strengthened networks, refined project strategies, and new partnerships already beginning to take shape, further positioning Yukon’s screen sector for growth on the national and international stage.
