    Marie Hammje is a Yukon-based filmmaker currently undertaking significant projects as Producer, Production Manager, Writer, Director, and Editor.

    Between 2020 and 2025, Marie produced, wrote, directed, and edited six short films.

    These films have received notable recognition, including Jury Prizes at Yukon 48 for Adele’s Shadow (2024) and Blur (2022), a Jury Prize at the Banff Adventure Filmmakers Workshop for Kin (2023), and the Dawson City Ice-Solo-Lation Challenge for The Ibex-lation (2020). Deeply involved in the local film community, she currently serves as a Board Member and Secretary for the Yukon Film Society. Marie also actively participated in the Available Light Film Festival, serving as a Programming Committee Member from 2021 to 2023 and contributing to logistics as the Guest Services & Transportation Coordinator in 2025. Her dedication to filmmaking is supported by extensive training acquired since 2020, including participation in programs like the Banff Adventure Filmmaking Workshop and the ALFF Accelerator Mentorship Program.
